We believe that we cannot reduce the future of the Web to a concept that is still as nebulous and as limited as the metaverse. Because we believe that technology, science, art and philosophy are advancing towards a deep integration of the digital world with the physical world, pointing to a kind of hyperreality that goes far beyond these sketches of immersive and augmented realities limited to the senses of sight and hearing. The future will be more emotional than sensory.

We believe that advances in neurotechnology, in BCI (Brain-Computer Interface), in biometrics, biossensing and in studies and researches that focus on the symbiosis between machines and humans, especially with regard to the interaction between Biological Intelligence (BI) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), hold the true keys of what will come and that will transcend these current Metaverse prototypes.

According to advances in all these fields, and encompassing the most relevant cases, studies, researches, initiatives and results, it is not absurd to say that soon we will communicate through thought and even visualize memories, thoughts and our dreams. The convergence of AI with Neurotechnology has already reaped surprising results in the direction of these concepts like synthetic telepathy or synthetic telekinesis.

In addition to neurotechnology, biometrics, AI and BCI, the convergence and confluence of social and economic sciences with digital and traditional arts such as web design, architecture, music, sound design, UI/UX, 3D, CGI, generative art, illustration, concept design, industrial design and scientific design, are revealing themselves as the fundamental components of the methods and processes of construction of the physical-digital infrastructures of the future.

However, we believe that what will be most cherished by societies is the humanization of technology. More than communicating through synthetic telepathy, we want to live in a world where the integration of such advanced and powerful technologies are channeled into the construction of societies and communities, physical or virtual, where well-being, empathy, education, physical health , mental health and the realization of a higher human nature are possible and accessible to all.

That is why Mektro is not building its metaverse, but encompassing all researches and focusing on the development of methods and processes of design, engineering, architecture, creation, construction and protection of all Intellectual Properties that will sustain the automation, knowledge, intelligent and minimalist economies.

Science is knowledge, Philosophy judges the ends and evaluates the means, and arts and technologies apply these means to the proposed ends. In this simplification we can summarize human knowledge and present the pillars of Mektro.

The fact is that the most relevant and modern technologies already allow us to glimpse a historical transformation. It is undeniable that this transformation is reaching the roots of capitalist systems as we know them, but much more important than that is the transformation of science itself and of sociocultural and socioeconomic relations and dynamics. And finally, we believe that the Contemporary Age is at an end. We are between the end of one historical period and the beginning of another. It doesn't matter what name is given to what will come. At this moment, what interests us the most is to understand in depth not only this or that field that promises to change many things, but the relationships of so many other fields the points towards the construction of a better world.

What is unfolding is far beyond what all past thinkers, artists, theorists, sociologists or economists could ever imagine. We do not know whether capitalism is evolving and transforming itself, or whether it is degenerating into a completely different and more advanced system. But we have no doubt that what we already have in our hands are not just facts, but the evidence that science, art, philosophy and technology are propelling the world faster and faster to ever higher levels of human, socioeconomic and sociocultural relationships and interactions. To understand it, it is enough just to observe with relative attention everything that is most relevant in the midst of this exponential expansion of technology and knowledge.

We have more than enough means to build more advanced, inclusive, smarter and fairer social realities, since the past and the present are this huge repository of human experiences, and we have a collection large enough not only to to find interdisciplinary relationships between the most extraordinary sections of arts sciences leading to the greatest inventions, but essentially to research and develop such things assuming the deepest social and ethical responsibilities. So our vision of the future is quite simple: the future is that one that we´re designing right now.
